| "But how can we, who are only two, punish twenty men?" cried Sancho. "I am as good as a hundred," answered Don Quixote. They Both Fight Then, he attacked the carriers with his sword in his hand. Sancho was made brave by his master's example, and he did the same. With his first blow, Don Quixote cut open the leather coat of one of the carriers. This also cut the carrier on the shoulder. The re st of the carriers saw that only two men were attacking them. They were twenty, so they came from all sides. Soon a heavy blow knocked Sancho to the ground. A minute later, Don Quixote was lying near him. They lay there, the knight and his squire, beaten by the carriers. The carriers were not angry now. They were worried when they saw what they had done. They qu ickly fastened their goods on the backs of their horses. They thought the two men were dead, and they hurried away. It was a hot afternoon, and everything was quiet by the pleasant stream. A few hours passed, and then an unhappy voice spoke. It was the voice of Sancho Panza. | 「可是我们才只有两个人，怎么去惩罚二十个人呀？」桑科叫道。 「我以一抵百。」唐吉诃德答道。 他们两人作战。 接着，他手中拿着长剑就攻向脚夫了。 桑科因为他主人的榜样而变得勇敢起来，也照样行动。 第一剑劈下去，唐吉诃德砍裂了其中一个脚夫的皮袄。 也砍伤了这名脚夫的肩膀。 其它的脚夫看清只有两个人攻击他们。 而他们有二十人，于是就从四面八方围过来。 没有一会儿，重重的一击把桑科打倒在地上。 再过一下子，唐吉诃德也倒在他身旁。 武士和他的随从就躺在那里，被脚夫们痛揍。 现在，脚夫火气都消了。 当他们看到干下的事情后，都很担心。 他们很快的把货物绑在自己的马背上。 以为这两个人都死了，于是急急忙忙逃走。 这是个炎热的下午，可爱的溪流旁一切都静悄悄的。 几个小时溜过去，然后一个凄惨的声音开口说话了。 那是桑科，判扎的嗓门。 |
