谷雨
2009年4月20日是农历二十四节气的"谷雨"。和"雨水"相比，这个时候的雨量增大了，这对农作物的生长有着极其重要的意义。农谚说："雨生百谷"，意思就是雨量充足而及时，谷类作物就能够茁壮生长。
谷雨也是采摘、炮制上好茶叶的日子。"谷雨茶"是谷雨时节采制的春茶，又叫"二春茶"。茶叶有一芽一嫩叶的，泡在水里像古代展开旌旗的枪，被称为"旗枪"；还有一芽两嫩叶的，像一个雀儿的舌头，被称为"雀舌"。谷雨茶茶香浓郁浑厚，久泡仍余味悠长，是茶中的佳品。
"谷雨"这一天，还被中国茶叶学会等组织倡议设为"全民饮茶日"，以举行各种弘扬中华茶文化、倡导健康饮茶的活动。
"谷雨"节气一般在公历的4月20日前后。
Grain Rain
April 20, 2009 is the day of grain rain in the 24 solar terms in Chinese Lunar Calendar. The amount of rainfall increases much than the day of rain water. It is very important for the growth of crops. There is a saying among farmers, "rain can help all kinds of crops to grow". The right and timely rain will help the growth of grains.
The day of grain rain is also a great day to pick and cook tea leaves. "Grain Rain Tea" is the name for tea which is made around the time of grain rain. In water, the one with one sprout and one tender leaf looks like an ancient spear with a flag. Therefore, it is called "flag spear". The one with one sprout and two leaves looks like the tongue of a sparrow. Therefore, it is called "the tongue of sparrow". Grain rain tea has a strong and fragrant taste and can last for a long time in water. Grain rain tea is one of the best kinds of tea.
The day of grain rain is also suggested to be the day of drinking tea by the China Tea Science Society and other organizations. Many activities to promote Chinese tea culture and the healthy way of drinking tea are held on this day.
The day of grain rain normally arrives around April 20 in the Georgian Calendar.
