小满

        2009年5月21日，太阳位于黄径60°，时为小满。小满这名称和农作物的成长有关，"斗指甲为小满，万物长于此少得盈满，麦至此方小满而未全熟，故名也"。就是说从小满开始，北方大麦、冬小麦等夏收作物已经结果，籽粒渐见饱满，但尚未成熟，所以叫小满。
        在南方一些地区，"小满"这一名称还关系到雨水与灌溉。"小满不满，干断思坎"；"小满不满，芒种不管"。用"满"来形容雨水的盈缺，指出小满时田里如果蓄不满水，就可能造成田坎干裂，甚至芒种时也无法栽插水稻。
        在小满节气，人们有吃苦菜的习俗。小满虽然寓意丰收即将到来，但其时却恰是青黄不接的时候，在过去，很多百姓不得不用苦菜充饥，由此吃苦菜也就成了小满节气的独特食俗。

In some areas in the south of China, the name of Grain Fills has something to do with rainwater and irrigation. "If there is no enough water during Grain Fills, the ridges in the grain field will break of dryness. " " If there is not enough water during Grain Fills, you cannot expect to grow rice when the day of Grain in Ear is coming." In these sayings, "xiao man", the Chinese name of Grain Fills, is used to describe the amount of rainwater. 
On the day of Grain Fills, people have the tradition of eating wild vegetables. Although Grain Fills means that the harvest will come soon, it is a time when the new crop is still in the blade and the old one is all consumed. In the past, many people had to eat wild vegetables to get stuffed. Therefore, to eat wild vegetables slowly becomes a special dietary tradition on the day of Grain Fills.
