"中秋节"是中国的农历八月十五日。这一天的月亮又圆又大,是一年中月色最好的日子。
从古至今,中国人对月亮都有深沉、浓厚的情感,形成一种独特的月亮情结。每当人们看到圆月时,就会不由得唤起他们对自己亲近的人与事的回忆,牵动他们的思亲、思乡之情。因此中秋节是人们合家团圆的时候,分散在各地的儿女们都在这一夜回家团聚,看望老人和亲友。全家围坐在一起,赏月、吃月饼。不能赶回家的也要打电话回家问候。
月饼最早是祭月典礼中的一种供品,后来渐渐演变成了民间过中秋节必不可少的象征性食品。它和中秋夜圆圆的月亮一样,代表着和谐与团圆。
Mid-Autumn Festival is on August 15th in the Chinese lunar calendar. The moon on that day is the fullest and brightest of the year.
Chinese people have always had a moon complex. A round moon can always remind them of their home and beloved ones. Mid-Autumn Festival, therefore, is a festival for family reunions. Children living in different places will go back to their hometowns to visit parents and relatives. The whole family gather around, eating moon cakes and enjoying the moonlight. Those who fail to go back that day will try to make phone calls to extend their regards.
Moon cakes used to be tributes in moon fete rituals and later it becomes an indispensable symbolic food for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which stands for unity and harmony.
