First listening:

Put this list on the board.

Get the children to watch the movie and listen for the things from the list that Ma Lanlan needs

Watch the movie and write down the new things that Ma Lanlan needs from this list.

Ma Lanlan's family are moving to a new house.  Ma Lanlan will have her own bedroom at the new house.  Her mum and dad are going to decorate her bedroom and buy some new furniture.

They are deciding what she needs in her room

Mum:  She needs a bed to sleep on.
Dad:  Yes, and a desk and chair to do her homework at.
Mum:  And somewhere to keep her clothes – a wardrobe.
Dad:  And a bookshelf for her books.
Ma Lanlan: Thanks.
Dad:  I think we can get all these things at the market.
Mum:  What else do you need Ma Lanlan?
Ma Lanlan: Can I have new curtains and a quilt?
Mum:  Yes, I think so.  What colour would you like?
Ma Lanlan: Blue I think.  There is some nice blue material at the market. It's
very cheap.
Mum:  Good.  Let's go and get some.  We can look at the furniture, too.

Watch the movie again.  Listen for any things that she needs that aren't on the list.

他们在决定房间里所需的东西。

Mum:  她需要睡觉的新床。
Dad:  是的,而且还需要一张桌子 和一把椅子做作业用。
Mum:  还得有地方放她的衣服 — 衣柜。
Dad:  还得要一个书架放她的书。
Ma Lanlan: 谢谢!
Dad:   我想这些东西我们在市场上都能买到。

  Activity 3: game

You are going to find out some information about your friends.

Step 1

Do example for questionnaire on board

Have you got a bed?
How about a desk?
Have you got a chair?
What about a bookcase?

While you are doing it put ticks in the correct columns

Step 2
Divide the class into groups of six.  Tell them to write the names of the other people in their group along the top of the questionnaire.  In turns they must interview the other people in their group.
They must ask Have you got a  .... in your room? Or What/How about a .....
The answer must be Yes, I do. or No, I don't.

Now its your turn.  Work with your partner.  Put up your hand if you are A.  OK you must ask B the questions and then B – put up your hands.  Good.  You must answer using "Yes, I do or No, I don't.

Good.  Who can tell me what you must do?

Give them time to complete the questionnaire and then get them to swap over roles so each child has a completed questionnaire.

了解关于朋友的一些信息。

第2步:
将全班分成6个小组。告诉学生们将他们小组的其它人的名子写在问卷的顶部。每一轮中,他们必须面询问小组的其它成员。
他们必须 问:" Have you got a  .... in your room?"或是问:" What/How about a .....?"
回答必须是:" Yes, I do.或是 No, I don't."

Now its your turn.  Work with your partner.  Put up your hand if you are A.  OK you must ask B the questions and then B – put up your hands.  Good.  You must answer using "Yes, I do or No, I don't.

Good.  Who can tell me what you must do?
