最近，北京市许多社区出现了一种新的交通工具——摆渡车。摆渡车的线路设置非常便民，即"小区——公交枢纽——地铁站点——大型商场"，极大地缓解了社区通向公交车站和地铁站 "最后一公里"的交通问题。
Recently, a new means of transport named "摆渡车(ferry bus)" appears in many communities of Beijing. The routes of the bus are designed for people's convenience, such as "residential community — bus station — subway station — supermarket", which helps to connect the distance between the residential area and the public transit hub.
现在，上班族交通高峰期出行都愿意坐摆渡车，不但出行成本低，而且服务态度好。经常赶早班地铁的白领王小姐说，自从有了摆渡车，她再也不用担心早高峰堵车了。
Now, the working people incline to taking the ferry bus at the rush hours, since the fee is relatively low and the service is good. Miss Wang, a white-collar who always goes to work by subway in early morning, says that she no longer worries about the traffic jam thanks to the ferry bus.
其他时间乘坐摆渡车的主要是一些去公园锻炼或去超市购物的老年人。花园社区的李大爷说，上岁数的人走不了远路，有了摆渡车就解决了步行和安全问题。朝阳双井社区的刘阿姨再也不用为逛完超市拎着大包小包回家发愁了。从她家到京客隆超市开通了每天早上7点到晚上9点的摆渡车，节假日也不停运。
The senior citizens also like to use the ferry bus for traveling between the home and park or supermarket. Uncle Li, who lives in the Garden Community, praises that the ferry bus makes it easier and safer for those who are too old to walk a long distance. While for Aunt Liu, who is from Shuangjin Community in Chaoyang District, says it is no longer a problem of carrying heavy groceries back from the supermarket. She would take ferry bus which provides shuttle service from 7 am to 9 pm between her house and Jingkelong Supermarket, 365 days a year.
摆渡车不但可以使居民出行便利快捷，为市民打通了"最后一公里"，还可以节约能源，实现"绿色低碳出行"，因此受到了越来越多的市民的欢迎。
The ferry bus not only provides convenience for the citizens to go around by connecting "the last mile", but is also conducive to save energy and reduce the exhaust emission. That's why it has become more and more popular among the citizens.
