"人口普查"是世界各国收集人口资料、统计人口数量的科学方法，今年是中国第六次人口普查年份，全国的人口普查活动从2010年11月1日零时开始，到10日结束入户登记， 11日起普查工作转入复查阶段，一直持续到15日。拿北京来说，已有10万人口普查员进入千家万户进行登记。

       2010年中国人口普查的标志也很有中国特色，以汉字的"人"、英文字母的"C"为主要图形元素，以红、黄两个国旗色为主色调，汉字的"人"字设计成了"万里长城"图样，一红一黄的"C"分别代表代表"CHINA"和"CENSUS"，2010代表普查年份。

       为了顺利地完成普查工作，今年人口普查的宣传工作也做得比较充分，出现了很多有意思的标语，如"关心人口普查就是关心我们自己"、"摸清今天人口，创造明天幸福"、"人口普查进万家，全面清点你我他"等等。

       据闻，2010年12月起，人口普查进入数据的汇总和资料开发利用阶段，到2011年4月底，主要数据将向社会公布。

Nationwide Population Census 2010

"Population census" is a scientific way for all countries to collect population number and related important data. The year 2010 marks the sixth census year in China. The door-to-door interview was scheduled to start at zero hour on November 1 and end on November 10, and November 11-15 was time for recheck. In Beijing, about 100,000 census takers were employed to do the registration work in families.

The logo of the nationwide population census 2010 is full of Chinese characteristics, which is featured with the Chinese character "人" and the English letter "C" as the basic graphic elements, and the red and yellow colors of the national flag as the dominant hue. The Chinese character "人" is designed in the image of the Great Wall, the one red and one yellow "C" respectively represents the English words "CHINA" and "CENSUS". 2010 stands for the census year.

To facilitate the successful completion of the census, serious work has been done in publicity and a number of interesting slogans came into being. For example, "关心人口普查就是关心我们自己" (Your concern for population census is the concern for yourselves), "摸清今天人口，创造明天幸福" (A clear understanding of population today is to create more happiness for tomorrow), "人口普查进万家，全面清点你我他" (Door-to-door survey in ten thousand families makes a comprehensive counting of the population), to name just a few.
