A climate of cooperation should be established from the beginning of your negotiations and maintained throughout. In order to create this climate, language style must be chosen carefully. One way to do this is to choose should/ could/ might/would in statements and suggestions. This means the language is less forceful and direct and doesn't sound aggressive.
