During the meeting:
It's a good idea to record key points discussed and decisions made in the meeting: laptops, flipcharts, whiteboards or hand-written notes help When you end the meeting, summarize the decisions made. Tell the attendees they will receive an action plan and minutes and thank them.
After the meeting:
One neglected part of meetings is ensuring action is taken after the meeting ends. An action plan can be made from your notes. Send this action plan and minutes to all attendees and absentees as soon as possible after the meeting.
Ensure you include
attendees meeting objectives key topics discussed key decisions/outcomes next actions, deadlines and those responsible date of next meeting thanks to attendees
If you do this, it will ensure that the meeting has been effective. |
