Procedure
1. Draw a map of your ideal country on the board. 2. Explain its features. 3. Ask your students to draw a map of their own ideal country. 4. After about five minutes, learners explain their map to a neighbour. 5. Either: a. Ask the learners how they would live in this ideal country. b. Then ask them to describe their every action there. Or: Ask the learners to describe how the people of the land live their lives, how their society is run and what they do. 6. Ask the learners to write a description of a typical day in their country. They must omit a verb, adjective or noun from each sentence, leaving a blank in each case. 7. Ask them to hand the description to another learner who must try to fill in the blanks. 8. Ask the learner who has completed filling in the description to read it back to its original author. He author will then agree or disagree with its completion. |
