Let's have a look at a letter. While we read it I want you to answer these questions:
1. Is Laura a girl or a boy? (Laura is a girl – boys don't usually ask for dolls!)
2. What presents does Laura want? (You may ask this in Chinese)
Dear Father Christmas,
I hope you are well. I have been a good girl this year and I have tried very hard at school.
I would like a bike and some new coloured pencils for Christmas. I would also like some clothes for my doll.
I hope you don't get too tired bringing all the toys. I will leave you some biscuits on the table.

| Hand out the worksheet and ask the children to match the words with the pictures.

Let's match the words and the pictures. Draw a line from the picture to the word.
Next ask them to find the picture of a toy that Tom and Laura don't ask for.
然后让学生们找到 Tom 和 Laura 不想要到的玩具的图片。

Next ask the children what other children probably ask for.
