Entering your search
On the search engine page there will normally be a box for you to write in and a button which says 'Go' or 'Search'. Let's try it. Type 'Oxford' and then click 'search'.
Clever searching
Use precise keywords to find what you want. Don't just type "London", but type "Tower of London" or "Buckingham Palace". If you only want general information, think of a different way to ask for it. You could try "London tourist guide" or "Top tips for visiting London".
Stay logical
Don't include words like "and" or "the" - they're so common, that search engines just ignore them anyway. But you can also search for a group of words by putting it in quotes. If you put a plus sign ("+") in front of a particular word, it will force the search engine to make sure that all the results pages contain that word. For example, let's say you want to find information about Morse and Oxford. Type "Oxford" +Morse in the search box below and then press "Search".
