1.limelight n.舞台灯光，可引申为舞台
例：She has been the limelight in our class.

A. 前进，进展（与get along同义）

B. 继续干；相处融洽（常与with连用）

⑤get...off 脱下，除去/取下
⑥get off 没受重伤/重罚而逃脱（常与with连用）

2.介词本身的含义:
①out: 出去 get out 出去
②on: 在某个方面 get on with sb. (和某人)进展，继续
③off: 脱离，剥离 get off 逃脱，取下来
④over: 结束，完成 get over 恢复，结束
⑤through: 通过，完成 get through 通过，完成

3.It couldn't be better.
=It is the most wonderful place for a picnic.这里是最好的野炊地点了。
表示同意：I couldn't agree more.

4.No newspaper men, no film fans!
这是个省略句，完整的句子为：There, are no newspaper men and no film fans! 这里的 no与用于公告牌上的 no是不一样的。

5.in case, 除非，
相当于unless,它的后面表将来时常用一般现在时或者should/might+动词原形
例： Take the umbrella in case it rains/ should rain.

6.Don't be too hard on us,
别使我们难堪。be bard on表"对......（过分）严厉"，为固定短语。
例：Don't be too hard on me.
别对我太严厉。
He is always hard on his employees.
他对雇员总是很严厉。

7.Get out of here fast!
fast=immediately, at once, right away
