Nowadays there are many reports on（报道）university
graduates who choose jobs that are not related
to（与...无关）their majors, such as painters and
housekeepers. . Does anyone hold the same attitude towards this
phenomenon？ Definitely not. As to this issue, opinions vary from
person to person.
Many
people maintain their choices are right and we shouldn't use
our stereotypes （固有的思想） to judge（评定）
their behaviors. For one thing, as the common saying goes, "A
Bird in the hand is worth than two in the Bush."
(一鸟在手胜过双鸟在林) odd and surprising as it sounds (尽管听起来很奇怪，吃惊)for
graduates to be a painter or housekeeper， it's
better than doing nothing and being supported （供养）by
parents，that is to say，at least，they can alleviate their
family financial burden（减轻家庭经济负担） to some extent. However,
there are quite a few people who
oppose（反对） their actions. They say that it is a
waste of their talent and knowledge（浪费才华学识） as well as
education resources（教育资源） since these jobs have no
need for（不需要） the knowledge they
acquired（获得）from school.
What's more, these jobs are often symbols of (象征) low less
opportunities，low salaries and social status.

As far as I'm concerned, choosing a career has nothing to
do（与...无关） one's major doesn't mean the college education
is of no use（没有用）at all. Besides, everyone has the
right to choose what he or she really wants, thus there is nothing
wrong for these graduates to choose occupations（职业）
that they can get satisfaction and fun from. "follow your

said.
