The Great Adventure of a Nobleman
Chapter 1
Long time ago, there was a man who lived in a town in Germany,
De Angle. He was richer than poor men but poorer than a nobleman.
He was a strong man and he was about 40 years old. His name was
Louis.
He loved
reading about noblemen or great kings. He was almost
crazy. He wanted to be a nobleman. So one day, he told his best
friend, the innkeeper about his dream - becoming
a nobleman.
"I want to be a Duke, who has lots of money
and islands." He said, looking at the blue
sky.
"Louis, are you all right?"
You can't become a nobleman! You are not rich
enough!" The innkeeper said. But Louis
didn't listen to him. "You are
my horse, Chain," he said to his horse.
"I need a new name." He started
to think, "I'm St.
Louis!" He shouted, when he rode on Chain.
"I need to find a Count, he will help
us," said St. Louis to himself.
"he lives in the hill!"
He was looking for a hill. There was a hill far away from De
Angle. "We need to walk such a long way, Chain,
be good, if you can take me there, you can become a
'noblehorse'. So,
let's go!" He talk to
Chain.
Chain started to ran. "Slow
down!" Cried St. Louis, he
couldn't grab the rope of Chain.
"No!" St. Louis shouted,
close his eyes. Suddenly, he fell off from
Chain's back. Then, Chain ran away.
That night, St. Louis went back to his house.
"Don't do it again,
OK?" Ask the innkeeper. St. Louis was so tired
but he still could talk. "I
don't know," said St. Louis.
The innkeeper thought that St. Louis couldn't
have a new adventure. So, finally, he went away. But St.
Louis' adventure was not over. It was just the
begining of this adventure.
Chapter 2
St. Louis stay in home for 2 months. Every one thought that St.
Louis'
madness was gone. But of course they were
wrong. One day, St. Louis went out of his house. He went to the
market and bought some food and a sword. Then, he went out of the
town. He went to a village called Don Fin. He passed by a church
and saw a man, sitting on the step, looking
unhappy and thoughtful.
The man was about 20 years old. "Hi, young man,
what are you doing here?" St. Louis asked the
man. "I'm
Paul," said the man. "I was a
farmer. But the army of the Great Emperor, Emperor of Holy Roman
Empire, destroyed my farm and went away, just left a
mess." "Oh! Poor man. My name
is St. Louis, I want to be a Duke. If you help me, you will have
some islands." Said St. Louis with a smile.
"We will go to Vienna to meet the Emperor. He
will help me to become a Duke," said St. Louis.
"But the Emperor was a terrible man, will he help
us?" cried Paul. Suddenly, a man came with two
hourses. "Paul, I have two great
news," the man said, "the old
Emperor had died, a good man became the new Emperor, Charly
Hamsbug, king of Spain. Another news is I've
bought two hourses for you."
"So, let's
go," said St. Louis,
loudly.
