In this July 5, 2008 file photo, swimmer Dara Torres celebrates setting a US record time of 24.38 in the women's 50-meter freestyle semifinal at the US Olympic wimming trials in Omaha,Neb.. At 41, Torres is heading for her fifth Olympics, a remarkable feat that has left armchair athletes doing a double-take. But exercise experts say Torres' achievements at least partly reflect advances in training - and that many of us could come closer than we think.

(CCTV 07-08-2008 13:06)--Age ain't nothing but a number, and Dara Torres has proved just that the 41-year-old mother is the oldest American swimmer ever to make it on the U.S. Olympic swim team. She won the 100 meter freestyle on Friday, marking the fifth time she's qualified for the Olympics.

Dara Torres said "Well at least, well for swimming, the pool doesn't know how old you are so it doesn't really matter how old you are - I guess it's like I always say - you don't put an age limit on your dreams and I haven't and I think I proved that age is just a number."
