Treasure your days on campus
Summer has come - another group of students will graduate from university.
This makes me recall last year at this time. When the graduates ended their university life and started to explore society, they told me with tears in their eyes: "How fast the four years go, and how unforgettable the life on campus is! If time could go backward, I would rather stay in the past four years forever."
What they said is true - life on campus is wonderful and colourful. It is the most beautiful and impressive memory in one's mind.
I still remember when I came to Yan'an University - everything unfolding before me was new and strange. The local dialects, food and customs made me uneasy; the unfamiliar faces in the classroom doubled my timidness and shyness.
However, soon I found I understood others easily and was understood well. The food was different from what my mother cooked, but it was also delicious; the classmates were from different places, but they were kind, warm-hearted and cheerful.
A month later, I made a lot of friends and seldom cried for homesickness. I also realized the life waiting ahead was bright, delightful and interesting.
College is also the very place to settle down to study.
From early morning to midnight, from the library to the classroom, most students work hard to explore new and old fields of knowledge, not just for a good job after graduation, but for the improvement of the individual.
With the accumulation of more knowledge, students think more about thelves and the outside and what they can do for society; therefore their lives ome not only interesting but also meaningful.
On weekends, the quietness and stillness are broken; the explorers of knowledge ome singers, dancers, athletes and travellers. Their lives suddenly turn colourful.
All kinds of parties are held: dancing balls, English parties and evening parties. Noisy music can be heard everywhere.
Usually there are matches of football, basketball, badminton, table tennis and so on. The energetic players run heartily on the fields while the audience watches the close game, holding their breath.
That is the life on campus; that is why graduates are so sorry to say goodbye to their dear campus, to the exciting, interesting and beautiful life there.
