The ten-day trip around the island took mainland visitors to places they've long wanted to go.
They included major metropolis like Taipei, Kaohsiung, Kenting, Hualien, as well as costal towns in the island's east. Tourists say places such as Ali Mountain and the Sun and Moon Lake were charming.
Shopping in local specialty stores and tasting the island's delicacies were also highlights of their trip. Mainland travellers say their contact with Taiwan people brought a personal touch to their trip.
One tourist guide from Fujian Province said "One thing I could hardly ever forget is the hospitality of Taiwan people. And I also celebrated my birthday in Taiwan."
Local tourist guides confirmed mainland visitors showed good manners during their visit. And Taiwan is ready to host more visitors.
One Taiwan tourist guide said "We are anxious to receive feedback from mainlandtourists, which will be reference for arranging our future services ."
Tourist agencies in Taiwan handed out questionnaires, in the hope of improving services and entertainment for mainland guests in the future.
