Hi, everyone! I am a girl of 18 years old, a high school student in Guangdong. I am an English lover, the first time I came to this section English Salon, I fell in love with it. Though I am just an English learner, I like to engage myself in this wonderful English learning atmosphere. I am still very impressed that no sooner had I got into this section than I came to realize that: this is the very place I would like to settle.
Time goes by, I have stayed in this forum for a time. However, seldom do I release my original post due to my limited English, many participants here have a good command of English, some are even English experts. As a result, mostly I follow the posts, but I still thanks to this practice, I've gained a lot of knowledge from it. The joy is nameless.
Even though I am fascinated in English, erewhile I began to lose heart in learning it. I am a student in Guangdong, the NCEE system is 3+X, and my X subject is English (2). That is to say, I have to take two English exams in NCEE. Compared with the required English exam, English (2) is more difficult, and it requires a good command of English level CET-4. What's more, it's been reformed that ever since this year, the oral English exam may be tested through the computer. As is known, this year, the students who take English (2) for granted tobogganed badly. And the result of English competition, in which I took as a failure, is disappointing. I only got the third prize, last year I got the first prize reward, but this year........ I felt frustrated.
Thanks to English salon, with the help of it I began to be interested in English again, I still skimmed through it, but that time I made sense of English that the mastery of a foreign language needs painstaking efforts. One can never have a good command of it overnight. It is not unusual that in the face of difficulties, a person gets so frustrated as to give in. But where there is a will, there is a way. What I need is time and efforts.
I'll soon become a Senior 3 student, I know in the following days, I should spare no efforts in study. Believe in me, give me a chance, I'll redound upon a miracle.
I love English Salon from the bottom of my heart! Hopefully her tomorrow is more brilliant!
