There are many snobs in this world. I just so happened to meet one. And this fellow is really special, even talented if looked from another angle.
I was the director of the admission office of a famous international school in 2003, when somebody from Liaoning TV Station approached me. Representing an advertising company, he tried to sell his marketing plans to my school. We had a long conversation, friendly and frankly. That's the first time I met him. His name is Sun.
To be honest, his plan was really effective to me and my school. He even proposed two more back-up plans. As a newly established international school, we were supposed to be the biggest high school in Liaoning Province. Therefore, in the educational industry, we had to "lead" the entire market to the right way.
We, together, planed a big event in May. We called it: The First Recruiting Seminar of...International School. We sat down in the meeting room for hours just to discuss on some trivial little details. We managed to gather 50 over stuff, 30 of which were my subordinaries. The seminar was very successful. 600 people attended the event and 40 over paid the school fees on the day.
We had been through many difficulties and we had overcome most of them. One night, on a celebration dinner, he told me that I was his best buddy. I was so touched that afterwards I did lots of things, for the sake of him. And I was not doing that for money or any kinds of pay-backs.
Unfortunately, the school did not have a happy end. The group refused to invest more on the school's construction projects. So when the school-open day reached us, we found half of the construction had not been done yet! The parents saw it too!
I went through hopes, angers, argues, stressing, frustrations, desperations...etc within 3 days. I felt as if I was responsible for all the shits (somebody made me think in that way).
I don't remember how I managed to get through that mess. Several months later, wondering if he was ok or something, I called him. He was surprised that I called and he was really cold to me. He was back to his salesman faces. I used to be a salesman, yet I had never seen such an ugly and fast-changing man in my entire life before!
I don't wanna waste my precious words to describe a true moron here. Just want to let you guys know about this story and learn to be smarter when dealing with them.
