Amy, good morning.
Good morning, and there's a lot of happiness on this day.
Yeah, we feel good all the time. So, so, what is this day?
This is a six-week challenge to make women realize that they need to reclaim a little me time. Women are out of balance, they don't realize that they are doing so much for others, they're not
taking a little time for themselves.
So do you think, you know, it'll sense over, women kinda feel well, you know, I'm selfish if I am
taking time for me, that's time away from family and friends and responsibilities?
We are the natural caretakers, we are the point persons, we are the people that gotta do it 24/7 and yes, I think it has a
negative connotation to take me time. We think of the women who will do it to our fault, but we are actually being detrimental to our own balance, you know, mental health
well-being depends on having a little happiness in your life.
Ok, so we'll go for the features & tools of the I Feel Good Community Challenge.
Ok.
First of all, a rant board.
Yeah, because it's not good to ram to your husband, it's good to ram to your co-worker, you boss, maybe your friend. But you need a place to let it out. We want to distress people, we want them to feel safe complaining, and then get on to the me time.
Ah, ah, peace of mind plan.
This is actually a tool that's on the health aspect of the iVillage website ---- it's ongoing on the time but it specifically addresses stress and it
personally tells you how to identify it and get rid of it. It's gonna be important in this challenge.
And then you gotta the iConnect, I guess that's where everybody comes together.
That's the message board. That's where
community comes together 'cause it's bound supporting each other and giving each other ideas on how to do this.
Now you got down here a Daily Blog, is this your blog?
I do a daily blog. I
normally rant or rave about the grade how things going on. But it's specifically to this challenge or we'll be talking about the daily
assignments, my own challenges with it, and how people can
creatively get me time.
Amy, you got Coaches, what kind of coaches?
Well, I'm a coach, there's another coach. We are actually gonna be accepting personal me time makeovers where somebody sends an email, we give them four or five quick tips to carve out the time to realize why they need it and then to
creatively find it.
And you got iFeel Good Video, haha.
I am the I Feel Good ...
After this morning on this day, they said maybe, but again then you're home, get rid of chaos, organizational skills, you got to find me time by being
creatively about your organization.
You got my
assignment tips, so that in other words, carve out me time...
... carve out me time at home or on the job; on the job, the day before, take 10 minutes, set up your folders, set up your phone list, find out who's gonna need you tomorrow; there are less prices that home lay out your clothes; (Get the kids lunch ...) lay out the breakfast table, the lunches, even lay out your makeup in order so it can happen quickly or maybe you'll get more sleep time, maybe you'll get some exercises on.
And when I guess what would become of a subside of the me time is find a hobby.
Absolutely, we need to reclaim passion and happiness, think about what will make you happy as a kid, think about a new direction you wanna go and rethink your life course, find a quiet time to think about the stuff, and then realize how enhanced you life would be if you have it.
And you said avoid roadblocks. What are roadblocks?
Not being able to say no. You now, the just-say-no phrase? You need to evoke where peer-messing meaning we are perfect mommy syndrome people, we are the caretakers of the world? Say no, don't be the head of every team, every group, don't take every
leadership role, tell your husband,
communicate and say those hard words: Honey, I need help.
Ok, when you say be
creative, what do you mean?
I mean, you need to really be smart about how you carve out that me time. You need to say to yourself, is my house needing a little theme-like recreations so that I am not walking into chaos that I am not
wasting time looking for things. Also be
creative about what you wanna do with the time, make it valuable, healthy eating takes carve out me time, exercise takes carve out me time.
