Step 1 Review 第一步 复习(时间:10分钟)
复习节日问候语、谚语及频度副词。
1. (用生日歌的旋律唱Happy New Year!导入本课, 可以活跃课堂气氛, 又为下一步进行4b做准备。)
T: Let’s sing the song Happy New Year! together.
T & Ss: Happy New Year to you!

2. (学习4b, 归纳本话题中有用的表达方式。)

(2)(呈现“The early bird catches the worm.”和“Work must come first!”并翻译成汉语, 勉励学生勤奋学习。)
T: In this topic, we have learnt two useful expressions. They tell us we must work hard and don’t waste our time. Do you still remember them?
Ss: Yes. One is “The early bird catches the worm.” and the other is “Work must come first!”
T: So you must study hard every day.

3. (检查Section A中学生到社会上做调查的作业, 找几名学生读出自己调查的结果。培养学生的成就感和社会责任感。)
T: I’ll ask some students to report their results to the class.

T: Well, let’s listen to 3. The first time, listen and match. The second time, listen and write.

Step 2 Presentation 第二步 呈现(时间:5分钟)
呈现1和2。
1. (让全班学生各持一张卡片, 每张卡片上只有教学目标中列出的2个音标中的一个, 学习1。教师读其中的一个音标, 所有持那个音标卡片的学生全站起来。以此类推, 做完2个音标的训练。全班动员, 人人参与。)
T: Everyone has a card. If I read /E/, raise your card with /E/ and stand up. If I read /I/, please raise your card with /I/ and stand up. Do you understand?
2. (小组活动。让一名学生读卡片上的音标, 其所在小组其他成员均举起他/她读的音标卡片。)
T: Practice in groups. One reads the phonetic symbols, others raise your cards.
3. (做游戏。第一名学生读一个音标, 全班其余的有这个音标卡片的学生都举起相应的卡片并读出来。)
T: Let’s play a game.
Example:
S1 reads /E/. If you have the card with /E/, please raise your card and read it out.
4. (让学生浏览2, 画出含有交通工具或频度副词的句子。给学生创造反复接触目标语言的机会。)
T: Please look at 2, underline the sentences which include the means of transportation or adverbs of frequency.
Step 3 Consolidation 第三步 巩固(时间:10分钟)
巩固1和2并完成2中表格。
1. (让学生听1的录音, 跟读并模仿语音语调。)
T: Listen to 1, and read after the tape. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
2. (让学生两人一组, 全班合作, 接龙游戏, 完成2。找一名学生读一句英语, 他/她的同伴翻译此句, 以此类推。)
T: Would you like to play a game again?
Ss: Yes.
T: Here are the rules.
