The First Period
Step 1 Review and teach the new work.
Prepare some hamburgers, oranges, bananas, strawberries and some pictures of salad, French fries etc.

Listne and repeat practice the smilar conversations.

In pairs practice 1c and 2b.
In groups practice 1c and 2b. and check the answers each other.
Step 4 Grammar focus

Step 1 Dictation
Chek the words in P31-32.
Check the homework.
Step 2 Play games
In pairs, studentA look at this page . (p33)StedentB looks at page 93. Ask the
partner questions find out what Bill and Bob like and don’t like .
The teacher choose these or four pairs to act it help the student do it.
With the sentences: Does Bob like…?
Yes, he does. No, he doesn’t.
Does Bill like…. . ?
Yes, he does. No, he doesn’t.
Step 3 Do a survey: Do you like…?
Ask the students to ask about the food in the chart find out his/her classmates likes or doesn’t likes.
e. g. Food: tomatoes
A: Liu Li, do you like it?
L: Yes, I do.
A: Zhaojun, do you like it?
Z: No, I don’t like it.
When the students doing it , the teacher can help the students can do it.
Step 4 Make a survey.
The students hand in the form.

The Third period
Step 1 Check the homework
Step 2 Teach the new words.
Show some things: egg, apple, carrot. and the picture: chicken
With the sentences: What’s this in English?
It’s an egg.
Do you like eggs?

Like this, teach other words. Ask the students:
Do you have breakfast?
Do you have lunch?
Do you have supper?
Explain three words: in English: Breakfast is the first meal of the day. We have breakfast in the morning. Then lunch is the second meal of the day. We have breakfast at room/at about 12: 00. Supper is the last meal of the day. We have supper in the evening.
Lead read: breakfast have breakfast
Lunch have lunch
Supper have supper
Step 3 Study
Study the sentences: I have eggs, apples, bananas for beakfast.
Then: Let the students talk about part 1a like this , and write the number in the box.
Let the students say a
sentence with “I have …for” one by one.
Step 4 Teach words fruit and vegetable.
Let the students add to the lists on the blackboard.
Friut: apples…
Vegetables: broccoli…
Read them and talk something about fruit and vegetable. e. g. I like apples, but I don’t like pears.

Step 6 Play game
In pairs: Ask and answer questions about what Tom like part 2c.
Step 7 Reading. First teach the new words in P34-35.
The students read the article in 3a. Underline the fruits and the vegetables.
The teacher checks the answer.
