openingGreet your students .Help the students
respond in an
appropriate way .
Ask Who’s on duty ? Listen to the students report . Make sure the next student for Who’s on duty ? knows who he or she is for next time .

Step1:Project pronouns , possessive pronouns and reflexive pronouns .

Step 2:Help the students go over and
practise the new words and phrases they have
learned in this unit . Have the class discuss the reading together or in small groups . Encourage the students to use as much English as possible . You may ask some questions as a basis for their
discussion . Ask questions such as :
Who are you going to write about in your report ?
Who can finish this sentence: My report will be about me . I am going to write ?
What word starts with the letters sp and means unique?
What word in this lesson starts with the letter t and means that , if you have it , you’re good at something ?
What word does strength sound more like :strong or weak ? Which of these words has a
related meaning ?
Step 3:Ask the students to discuss.
What is a
talent ?
What is a personal strength?
What are Wang Mei’s personal strengths ?
What are Li Ming’s talents ?
What is your talent?---
Step 4:Ask students to make some sentences or write a short passage using the following words: already , reports , special/unique, talents , personal strengths .
Step 5:Talk about the questions:
What are your personal strength ?
Do you have any talents ?
What makes you happy?
Are you proud of something that you have done ?
Step 6:Ask the students to retell the text but not word for word .
Step 7:Come to “Let’s do it “.

The remaining activities in the activity book.
