      科技改变生活,这话一点也不假;对于出国这件事来说,具有革命性影响的科技成果主要是两个:一个是洲际飞行,另一个就是互联网了。这两项成果从根本上改变了人们对距离的概念,从而大大加快了全球化的进程。

      当代的洲际飞行可以在短时间内把你送到万里之外,于是,洲际之间的距离就被缩短成:早上你还在北京吃油条喝豆腐脑,中午你可能就已经在罗马吃皮萨饼了。如今,就连逃离失恋痛苦都要"躲在三万英尺的云里",所以,假如柳永能够活到现在,那么,"雨霖铃"中那句著名的词句就很有可能被写成:"今宵酒醒何处?法兰克福晓风残月"。

      不过,有得就有失。在享受了短时间横跨洲际的便利的同时,我们也体会到了前人所不曾经受过的时差痛苦。时差是一种很有意思的现象,如果用一句话来形容一下的话,那就是:你的身已经在"曹营"了但你时间的心却依然在"汉"。      

      在横跨了时区之后,你可以马上把手表显示的时间调成另一个时区的时间,但你却无法在短时间内对在你身体里面的生物钟表进行这样的调整。

      这样,你的点儿就乱了。时差最著名的一个现象是:在横跨之后的时区里,当别人都酣然入睡的时候,有时差的人却孤枕难眠;相反,在大白天,当别人都很正常地在工作的时候,有时差的人却像在"梦游"。这就是洲际旅行与普通旅行最不一样的地方:普通旅行的舟车劳顿在旅行结束时基本也就结束了,而洲际旅行的辛劳在旅行结束的时候才刚刚开始。

      所谓"倒时差"就是把身体里面的钟表调成横跨之后的时间,这本来应该是一个慢慢适应的过程,但由于各种原因人们往往需要在比较短的时间完成这样的调整,于是,各种"拔苗助长"的倒时差办法就出现了。

      比如:有的人有能力在飞行中睡觉,当他们到达目的地的时候基本上就已经适应了当地时间;有的人在飞行中睡不着,但他们到了目的地之后可以用意志力强迫自己靠到当地睡觉的时间再睡。至于像我这种在飞行中睡不着同时意志力又比较差的人,倒时差的过程就相对比较漫长且痛苦。尤其是:表现出意志力差是一种比较丢脸的事情,就算别人不说,自己也会感到自己很矫情。因此,每次洲际飞行之后,我都得承受这种由时差导致的额外羞辱。

      为了解决这个问题,在多次洲际飞行之后,我终于发明了一种"以毒攻毒"倒时差法。具体的做法是:找一天没事儿,从早睡到晚。既然点儿乱了,那我干脆把觉也睡乱,负负得正,时差就倒过来了。实践证明:效果不错。

      实际上,时差还有一个不太为人所知的现象:如果你跨越的时区正好把吃饭的点儿错开了,那么就会出现:你刚吃了饭又感到饥饿,因为另一个时区的吃饭点儿又到了;这种反应有时候会很强烈,甚至出现:一个刚刚吃得很饱的人竟然会饿得低血糖。

     "吃了就跟没吃一样",这难道不是想减肥人士的终极理想吗?所以,如果我们大胆进行假设的话,说不定有一天会出现"时差减肥法",到那个时候,满天都是满载着胖子的减肥专机,沿减肥航线飞向减肥时区,那景象,一定非常壮观。

After crossing different time zones, you set the time on you watch according to another time zone.

However, you cannot adjust the biological clock in your body in a short time. Then, your body will work wrong. The most renownedphenomenon is: after crossing continents, in another time zone, when other people are in sound sleep, people with time difference problem are sleepless. On the contrary, in day time, when other people are working, the people with time different problem are like sleep walking. It is the most unusual thing between continental journeys and normal journeys. When a normal journey ends, all the troubles and tiredness also end. However, the tiredness of a continental journey just starts when the journey is over.

The so-called "time difference adjustment" is to set all the clocks in one's body into the time in the time zone after the continental flight. It should a slow process. However, due to various reasons, people often need to complete this adjustment in a short time. Therefore, all kinds of methods to be complete this adjustment in a short appeared.

For example, some people are able to sleep during the flight. When they arrive, they basically get used to the local time there. Some people cannot sleep during the flight. But when they arrive at the destination, they can use their will to force themselves to fall asleep according to the local time. As to me, I cannot sleep during the flight and my will is weak. The adjustment of time difference is a long and painful process to me. Especially, it is humiliating to admit that my will is weak. Even if other people will not talk about it, I will be very uncomfortable.

Therefore, every time after continental flights, I have to suffer this additional humiliation. In order to solve this problem, after many continental flights, finally I invented a method to combat the poison with poison. The way is to find a free day and sleep the whole day. Since it is in disorder, I just sleep in a disorder way. Then I can get used to the time difference there. The practice proves to be effective.

In fact, there is also a less unknown phenomenon about the time difference. If you miss the time for a meal during crossing the time zone, then it might happen: you just have a meal but still feel very hungry, because it is time to have a meal in another time zone. Sometimes this reaction might be strong. It might happen: a man who just gets stuffed will get hypoglycemia.

"After a meal, it is like you have eaten nothing." Is it the ultimate dream of people who want to lose weight? Therefore, if we have a bold supposition, one day "the time difference" method of losing weight might appear. Then, everyday special flights with fat people will fight to the time zones of losing weight according to the course of losing weight. That phenomenon must be very spectacular.
