诗词解析 Analysis
"黄鹤楼（Huánghè Lóu）" gets its name because it is located on the Huanghe Mountain in Wuchang, Hubei Province. Legend has it that there was an immortal once flying away on a yellow crane from here. "历历(lìlì)" means something looks very clear. "萋萋(qīqī)" indicates the profusion of plants. "乡关(xiāng guān)" has the same meaning with "家乡(jiāxiāng)", hometown.
Once an immortal flew away by a yellow crane here. Today, the Yellow Crane Tower is only a name. The yellow crane would never come back, leaving the white clouds drifting idly by for thousands of years. In a clear day, you can see the trees on the side of Hanyang River. The grass on Parrot Shoal had grown abundant. At dusk, I missed my hometown very much and wondered which direction it is in. The misty waves on the river make me groan.
