一分一美元A dollar per point



故事 Story

       一天,教授给学生们监考。考试结束了,学生们纷纷交回试卷。教授发现一份试卷上别着一张100美元的钞票,还有一张纸条写着:"一分一美元。"
      第二堂课,教授把试卷发回到学生们手中,其中一张试卷上还别着64美元的找头。

A professor was giving a big test one day to his students. Once the test was over the students all handed the tests back in. The professor noticed that one of the students had attached a $100 bill to his test with a note saying "A dollar per point."
The next class the professor handed the tests back out. This student got back his test and $64 change.

别:
  "别"是一个多音多义字,既可以作为动词、形容词,也可以作为副词。
1)    作为动词时,念bié,意思是把某个东西固定在某个地方,比如:
把这朵花别在头发上。
2)    作为形容词,念bié,意思是"另外的,不一样的"。比如,"别致"、"别样红"等等。
3)    作为副词,念bié,一般用作制止,如"别抽烟","别哭"等。
4)    念"biè",如"别扭"。


"别" is a multiple-reading characters, which can be used as verbs, adjectives even adverbs.
1)    When it is a verb, it pronounces as "bié", which means pinning something to some place, such as "pin the flower to the hair".
2)    When it is an adjective, it pronounces as "bié", which means it is different, such as "别致、别样红" and so on.
3)    When it is an adverb, which means prohibiting, such as "别抽烟,别哭"and so on.
4)    It also can be pronounced as "biè",for example,"别扭".
