BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chief delegates of the six-party talks kept negotiating here on Wednesday over the draft proposal on how to verify the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) nuclear program after reaching no agreement Tuesday.
The U.S. delegation held bilateral meetings with the DPRK and China Wednesday morning.
According to sources, the other parties had already returned their comments on the draft proposal to China as it held bilateral meetings with Russia, the DPRK, the United States, the Republic of Korea and Japan on Tuesday. China also conducted a separate meeting with the DPRK Tuesday evening.
This is the third chief delegates' meeting during the sixth round of the six-party talks after a five-month suspension.
China's top negotiator, Wu Dawei, proposed the talks to focus on three major issues including verification, continuous implementation of the second-phase action plan, and the establishment of a peace and security mechanism in northeast Asia on the opening ceremony of the meeting on Monday.
