1 Introduction
1.1 Scope. This General Specification contains the
general requirements and associated tests regarding
body brackets and chassis brackets for exhaustsystems.
1.2 Mission / Theme. The body brackets and
chassis brackets serve the purpose of fastening the
exhaustsystem to the underbody.
1.3 Classification. Not applicable.
Note: Nothing in the specification supersedes applicable
laws and regulations.

and the English language, the German language shall
take precedence.

3 Test Preparation and Evaluation
3.1 Resources. According to the relevant test procedures.
3.1.1 Calibration. The test facilities and equipment
shall be in good working order and shall have a valid
calibration label.
3.1.2 Alternatives. Alternative test facilities and
equipment may also be used. However, all measuring
variables as specified in this specification shall
be determined correctly with respect to its physical
definition.
3.1.3 Facilities. According to the relevant test procedures.

3.2 Test Samples. According to the relevant test procedures.
The brackets shall be fastened to the vehicle floor
panel/chassis panel cutout as specified in the part
drawing.
3.3 Conditioning. According to the relevant test procedures.
3.4 Documentation. Samples of components
or material released to this specification shall be
tested for conformity with the requirements of this
specification and approved by the responsible GM
Department prior to the start of delivery of production
level components or materials.
Any change to the component or material e.g. design,
function, properties, manufacturing process and/or
location of manufacture requires a new release
of the product. It is the sole responsibility of the
supplier to provide the customer, unsolicited, with
documentation of any change or modification to the
product/process, and to apply for a new release.
If not otherwise agreed to the entire verification test
shall be repeated and documented by the supplier
prior to start of delivery of the modified or changed
product. In some cases a shorter test can be agreed
to between the responsible GM Department and the
supplier.
3.4.1 Test Results. The test results shall be compiled
in a test report.
3.4.2 Deviations from Test Procedure. Deviations
from the requirements of the test procedures shall
have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be
specified on componentdrawings, test certificates,
reports etc.
4 Requirements and Test Procedure
4.1 Dimensioning. The dimensioning and
arrangement of the brackets shall be according to
GME 08215.

drawing.
4.2 Strength Test. See GME L-8C-2.
4.3 Stress Measurement. See GME 08213.
4.4 Corrosion Test. The corrosion resistance shall
be determined according to the material requirements.

3 试验准备及评估
3.1 所需资源:必须符合相关试验程序
3.1.1 量度要求:试验设备及装置必须处于良好运转状态,并有正确的刻度标识。
3.1.2 可选择性:试验设备及装置应具有可选择性。该标准已经详细说明了试验所涉及的参数要求,因此,凭借这些内容可以正确地考虑试验装置的设计及制作要求

3.4 使用说明:通过该规范认可的零件或原料试样应符合标准上阐明的试验要求,且在该零件或原料在产品量产交货前需得到通用汽车公司相关责任部门的的批准。如有任何零件或原料的更改,如设计、用途、性能、制造过程或制造场地等,供应商应对产品进行重新认可。供应商须主动地通过文件资料向客户说明产品或过程工艺中的更改或修正项目,以申请新的批准认可。如没特别说明,供应商在交付更改后的产品之前,应为产品所涉及的试验提供证明材料。再特定情况下,经供应商和通用汽车公司相关责任部门一直准许下,可以免去部分试验。
3.4.1 试验结果:试验结果应附在试验报告中
3.4.2 试验过程偏差:允许试验过程的偏差存在。这种偏差应在零件图、试验证书、试验报告等中加以说明。
