Domenica De Pasquale's grandmother, matriarch of the Australian family that founded Nanda Pasta, a popular packaged-foods brand, had a flower nickname for each of her granddaughters. 'My sister was 'rosebud' and I was 'frangipani,'' said Ms. De Pasquale.

So when Ms. De Pasquale decided to build a set of luxuryapartments on the site of the old family beach house, she named it the Gold Coast Frangipani in memory of her grandmother. The project was completed in 2009.
