The sale was part of the Concours d'Elegance--the annual Woodstock for super-rich, exotic-car fanatics held in Pebble Beach, Calif. Auctioneer Gooding & Co. kicked off its two-day auction at the event with a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider.
