　　　　　　　　　　Yes, punctual to the time, thou'er here again

　　　　　　　　　　As still thou art:--though frost or rain may vary

　　　　　　　　　　And icicles blockade the rockbird's aery

　　　　　　　　　　Yet thou, sweet child of hoary January

　　　　注：Snowdrop，中文译为雪花莲，別名"待雪草"，雪白色的花朵，常见于英格兰、威尔士和苏格兰南部，是英国由严冬进入早春时最早冒出头來的野花，给阴沉寒冷的二月天帶來了明亮的色彩，告诉世人"春天就快來了！"。
