Tian Hill: How can we improve our writing?

Vincent: Read widely, anything from history to fantasy. This will make you a better writer. Books are like dishes. You'll get bored if you read the same ones all the time.

You have to be a good storyteller. The way you tell a story is more important than the story itself. You should try to create images and moods to make people read on.

Send in your writing to contests, newspapers or put it online. The responses (回应) will help you get better.

Dai Xiu: Did you get good marks at school?

Vincent: My marks were not that good, except in Chinese. I enjoyed writing stories very much.

After I went to work, I learned to write scripts in my spare time. I have developed my interests and improved my writing skills step by step.

There are people who don't study hard and become famous. But they are one or two out of a million! Try to get into a good school. The friends you make there will help you
