   Step I Revision

   a. Greeting

   b. Sing the song "Head, shoulders, knees, toes" and do the actions.

   Step II Presentation

   The teacher turns back and faces to the blackboard and holds out the hands to present "left" and "right".

   T: (Hold out the left hand.) What's this in English?

   Ss: It's a hand.

   T: Yes. It's my left hand. Left hand.

   Ss: Left hand.

   T: (Hold out the right hand.) This is my right hand. Right hand.

   Ss: Right hand.

   T: Left.

   Ss: Left.

   T: Right.

   Ss: Right.

   Step III Practice

   a. Play a "touching" game

   The teacher says "Touch your left/right _____." and let students do the actions.

   T: Touch your left arm.

   The students do as the teacher says.

   b. Listen to the tape and repeat.

   c. Introduce the own body.

   Let several individual students touch different parts of the body and practice saying "This is my left / right _____."

   S1: This is my left arm. This is my right arm. This is my left eye. This is my right eye.

   Step IV Presentation

   The teacher puts the left hand in a desk and then takes it out to present "in" and "out" and let the students follow.

   T: (Put the left and in a desk.) Put the left hand in. (The students put the left hands in.)

   Ss: My left hand is in.

   T: Take my left hand out. (Do the action. The students do the same.) My left hand is out.

   Ss: My left hand is out.

   Step V Practice

   a. Listen to the tape and repeat.

   b. Look and say

   The teacher puts different things in the bag and takes things out and lets the students practice.

   T: I put a pen in. (Do the action.) Where's the pen?

   Ss: (Help them to say.) It's in.

   T: I take the pen out. (Do the action.) Where is the pen?

   Ss: (Help them to say.) It's out.

   Practice with other objects in the same way.

   Step VI Presentation

   Do the actions and teach the lyrics.

   T: Put your right hand in the desk.

   The students do the action.

   T: Take your right hand out.

   The students do the action.

   T: Very good. (Do the action.) Shake it all about. Shake it all about.

   Let the students do the actions and follow.

   Ss: Shake it all about.

   Present "turn around in the same way.

   Step VII Practice

   a. Read and do

   Lead the students to read the lyrics and do the actions together.

   b. Listen and sing

   Listen to the song and sing along.

   c. Practice in groups

   Sing the song and do the actions and show in groups.

   Step VIII Homework

   a. Finish the exercises in the activity book.

   b. Listen to the tape and read.

   c. Preview Lesson 21.
