I Have a Pen Pal
一、教学目标与要求
1.能够听、说、认读句子:They are very different.
2.能够完成Let's check部分的练习。
二、教学重、难点分析.
本课时教学重点和难点是理解Let's read中的短文。
三、课前准备
1.教师准备录音机及录音带。
2.教师准备A、B部分Let's learn的单词卡片和B Let's read的挂图。
3. 准备课件。(PPT)
四、教学步骤和建议
1.热身(Warm-up)
(1)教师放第二单元Let's sing部分的歌曲"Where Are You Going?",学生一起拍手唱。
(2)教师放Let's chant部分的歌"Let's chant Tell me about your pen pal",学生跟录音有节奏地说唱。
2.预习(Preview)
(1) Read Part B Let's learn .
(2) 教师出示B部分Let's learn的单词卡片,学生就单词卡片进行问答练习,
eg) Pan Boyi reads newspapers every night. etc
(3) Game. Let's play
请一名学生上台,他心中想好某一个老师或同学的名字,台下学生通过提问猜这名学生是谁,如:"Does he go to schoo1 by bus? Does he like playing football/...?"也可进行男女生比赛,看哪一队用最少的does引导的问句猜出这名学生的名字。
3. 新课呈现(Presentation)
Let's read
(1)教师说:"Do you remember Alice and her twin sister? They look the same·"
后教师指着班上的两名学生问:"Do they look the same?"引导学生给出否定回答。教师给出完整回答:"No,they don't.They look different."教师板书different,带读。教师接着问:"Do they have the same hobbies?"引导学生说出否定回答:"No,they don't."教师说:"They're very different."教师出示本班的双胞胎照片,引出本课的重难点:"They look the same, but they are very different."并让学生以个人、小组、全班等形式操练。然后手指课文里的孪生姐妹对学生说:"This is Alice. This is her twin sister.They look the same,but do they like the same things? Do they go to school together? Let's read."
教师放本部分的课件,让学生带着两个简单的问题仔细看课件里的录像。
①Who is Liu Yun 's new friend?
②Does her new friend live in China?
(2)让学生打开课本,带着问题阅读。
教师根据短文内容提问,以下问题出现在投影上:
①Does Alice go to school bv bike?
②Does Ann go to school by bike?
③Does Alice read newspapers every evening?
④Does Ann read newspapers every evening?
⑤Does Alice play at the park on Saturdays?
⑥Does Ann play at the park on Saturdays?
(2)教师指导学生完成Write the questions and the answers的练习。
(3)教师放Let's read部分的录音,学生听录音跟读。
(4)四人小组试读短文,然后请两、三个小组朗读短文。

(1)教师指导学生完成Let's check部分的练习Listen and write the answers。
录音内容如下:
Woman:Bill lives in Australia.He works in a TV company.He goes to work by bus. He usually reads newspapers On the bus.He goes back home at about six. He watches TV in the evening.He likes collecting stamps.He often plays basketball On weekends.
(2)Read a passage in exercise book.
4.巩固和延伸(Consolidation and extension)
(1)学生做本单元B Let's read部分的练习。
(2)学生听本单元的录音,读给家长或同伴听。
(1) 学生背诵并书写本单元四会单词和句子。
反思:
1."书山有路趣为径,学海无崖乐作舟",英语学习,兴趣很重要。虽然本次教学对象为六年级学生,但在课堂开始,我还是设计了1个游戏,一方面调动起学生学习的积极性,培养他们对学习英语的兴趣,帮助他们体验成功,获得自信。另一方面还复习巩固了前面所学的词汇及句型。
2.在Let' check 环节中,通过不同层次的听,培养学生静心听的好习惯;在学习Let's read时,让学生带着问题去阅读,学会寻找自己所需要的信息,培养学生独自阅读的能力;根据所给信息提问,使他们活学活用;最后,把所说的问题写下来,进一步突出重点,突破本课的难点,实现教学目标。
3.模仿录音朗读,培养学生规范的语音语调。 特别注意学生"same /ei/, different, watch-watches 这几个单词的发音。
4.六年级听、说、读、写能力中,写的能力是非常重要的,在阅读回答问题这个环节中,让学生说完之后写下自己的问题答案,锻炼学生写的能力,并请学生上台板书,及时发现学生在书写中容易出现的错误,当场讲评,尽量不让学生带着错误出课堂。
