(CCTV 09-03-2008 15:40)--The water level in Hanjiang river, a tributary for the Yangtze River, has risen above its danger mark since Monday.
The Flood Control Headquarters in Hubei attributed the situation to days of rains in the provincial capital of Wuhan,and a rapid water flow from the upstream of the Yangtze River.
The water levels at over 700 dams in Hubei are also above the danger lines.And the water levels along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are continuing to rise.
Authorities in Hubei are preparing for any emergencies as weather forecasters predict the province will continue to witness rains in the coming days.
