Independence Day of the United States of America
I have been in the United States of America for 6 weeks ,July 4th is the Independence Day of America ,the following is a basic description of the this day . Enjoy it !
July 4th is the Independence Day of the United States of America. it's a federal holiday commemorating the
adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from Great Britain.
In America, Independence Day is
commonly associated with
fireworks, parades, barbecues,
picnics,
baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Fireworks have been associated with the Fourth of July since 1777.
Independence Day, the only holiday that celebrates the United States, is a national holiday marked by
patriotic displays. Similar to other summer-themed events, Fourth of July celebrations often take place outdoors. Independence Day is a federal holiday, so all non-essential federal institutions (like the
postal service and federal courts) are closed on that day. Many politicians make it a point on this day to appear at a public event to praise the nation's
heritage, society, and people. Speeches and editorials may
invoke American Revolutionary themes such as the founding fathers (including John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, and George Washington), the Constitution, the Liberty Bell, and democratic principles such as liberty, freedom,
equality under the law, inalienable rights, and representative government.
Families often celebrate the Fourth of July with a
picnic or barbecue, andParades often are in the morning, while
fireworks displays occur in the evening at such places as parks and casinos. Independence Day
fireworks are often accompanied by
patriotic songs such as "The Star-Spangled Banner", "God Bless America", "America the Beautiful", "My Country, 'Tis of Thee", "This Land Is Your Land", "Stars and Stripes Forever".
Certainly Independence Day is the holiday. They either go out for the vacation or celebrated with a
picnic or barbecue and take advantage of the long
weekend or off-day to gather with relatives. Decorations (e.g., streamers, balloons, and clothing) are generally colored red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag. That's why some of the shops, restaurants are closed and some of the bus lines cease to work. Most of the stuff in the shops is on sale! Fireworks displays occur in the evening at such places as parks and casinos. You can hear the sound of
explosion whatever you are. And there is a live show on the TV program for the
fireworks show. Independence Day
fireworks are often accompanied by
patriotic songs such as "The Star-Spangled Banner"," God Bless America"," This Land Is Your Land"," Stars and Stripes Forever".
