i went to visit a few good friends of mine tonight at another neighboring city pretty close to the one i'm living in,
we had such a great time that it was too late when i took a look at the watch and realised there's no more subways or buses running at this time to home.
i had to take a cab of course and i called and waited for like 20 minutes until a shitty 90s chrysler concorde arrived and the cab driver was like 90 years old or so..
i had no choice but to get in the piece of work instead of a volvo or even a ford, which i was expecting,
and i told the driver "monsieur, je vais au la rue CDN a xxxxxx, sil vous plait." with my SO broke french, i said then "desole je ne parle tres bien le francais",
(i live in a billingual city and its the only english/french city in a french province)
and the driver's english was so shitty at the same time, talking to me like "ho me i no speak anglais good aussi",
old man was such a jack one time i was so sure that i saw the bridge going to my city and i knew exactly which route he should be taking after and when to get off but he somehow took me on a tour in the town for like 15 minutes and then told me he's lost,
i had a really hard time communicating with him and i didnt wanna hurt him or give him any s*h*i*t cause he's really old man,
so i just sat there and waited him talking over the radio for directions and the meter going on and on,
finally he got the way and took me back home and it was 51 bucks on the meter..
i guess he must have felt sorry for the unpleasantness and he told me i dont have to pay that much,
i just thought he didnt really mean to do it like those cheap "imported" indian/pakistani f**kers would do and he's quite old for a cab driver, working 2:30 in the morning,
so i told him it was okay and i should learn more french in the future and i'm actrually taking one right now at school, i gave him another 4, which i wouldnt do at any point most of the times. hopefully he left a happy man.

usually if i take a cab its like 5 minutes from my friends to the highway and 5 to downtown and another 5 to my home so probably 15, 20 bucks in all but i spent 55 bucks..now i just lost next week's grocery money.
