Topic: There is no such thing as purely objective observation. All observation is subjective; it is always guided by the observer's expectations or desires.

Observation is such a practical deed that almost all the subjects and fields need it to fulfill their targets. We can casually name some examples without the least thinking. One may be physics. As we all know the development of physics is greatly furthered with the aids of observation. To catch an inspiration and reach an assumption, the physicist need to observe a given phenomenonexceedinglyintently. After the assumed theory comes into being, he has to apply it into practical cases to testify its availability, practicability as well as validity, which cannot be conducted without innumerable and extended observations! Some great theories may require decades even centuries of observation with the assistance of several generations of physicists to finally verify its invaluableessence! The amount of such kind of instances is too vast to be named one by one!

Another representative subject to illustrate the extensive use of observation is writing or composition. If the writer desires to compose some masterpieces that embody insightful meanings and have far-reaching and positiveimpact on people's mind even on the evolvement of our society, he must have a critical and profound mind that can probe into the interior essence through surface of a certain phenomenon with earnest observation of the circumstances around! Through deliberate observation he may arrest a thread of afflatus out of the blue and form his masterpiece! Without versant and persistent observation, the writer will finally exhaust all his innovative thinking and compose nothing of value.

The two cases above are to exemplify the unshakable significantstatus of observation in all fields of our modern society. But the topic raises another point that is well worth our pondering. Is it really true that All observation is subjective?

Definitely, no one cannot deny that in many cases we will add our own subjective thinking into what we see and put it in a subjective way. That is why the same matter even the same phenomenon will be depicted differently by different narrators. Except for some of them are doing so knowingly and weirdly viciously, a great many are affected by their living experiences, their scope of knowledge as well as their capability to observe and reach a fair and right conclusion! Besides, with the same phenomenon, different people focus on different parts of it. For instance, though all the people in the auditorium in the cinema are enjoying the same movie, their may emphasize on different plots and roles. Then after they finish the movie and are asked about the detail of it, their descriptions are varied accordingly.

Hence, now we may come up with a conclusion that some observations are indeed blended with our subjective thinking. But is it workable to all the cases? I am afraid not. Below is my further elucidation.

To start with, I still tend to refer to the science. Now we take chemistry for example. The same with physics, chemistry is also a subject that needs observation to work out new findings and inventions to renew itself. Chemists work painstakingly to start up chemical reactions and observe their phenomena carefully. They need to observe the light, the heat, the ultimate production resulting from the reaction, etcetera. All the procedure is monitored extremely delicately and objectively. Needless to say, the final production is objectively existing then. How can we mix our subjective thinking into the eventual result? This illustration eloquently justifies my belief that not all the observation is subjective!

To further consolidate my point convincingly, I will take another example. That is astronomy. As is widely acknowledged, astronomers are constantly observing the movement and orbits of lots of stars and planets through astronomical telescope. The orbit a given star is rounding is permanent and objective. Besides, the cycle of a complete movement for a planet around the central star is fixed and thus can be calculated. All these are undoubtedly objective and no one can adulterate anything subjective into the facts. Thereby, it is totally qualified as another typical and persuading example for my view that not all the observations are subjective!

Through my elaboration above, I do hold that the assertion in the topic is actually partial and too definite in its point! As a matter of fact, I greatly approve that we should avoid adding too much subjective thinking into our observation! We should objectively witness the whole process and then present it with the greatest precision so that the data users can reach a correct and precise conclusion, just as it is achieved in a lot of science fields!
