昨晚听到了一个深大女生在宿舍上吊自杀的消息，我整个人都呆住了。当然今天听她的一个同学讲了事情的经过，我更是感到震惊无比。如果自杀是生命最好的诠释与终结，我想，人类灭亡的时刻到了。

生命没有绝路，绝路只是我们设给自己的。

Last night, a piece of news struck me to the deepest of my soul. I was told all of a sudden that a girl committed suicide in her dorm by simply hanging herself behind the door.

Last night, around 8 o'clock, one of the decedent's roommates came back to the dormitory and was meant to push open the door. However, though she spotted the door was unlocked with her own eyes, she still could not push open the door with the normal strength. Feeling extremely strange and without second thought, she pushed the door with all her strength and pressed the button that could turn on the light. Then she was presented a horrible scene that she could never erase from her mind for the rest of her life. Under the bright light was her dear roommate's icy corpse that was hung with a long tough rope round her neck pegged to the upside of the wood door. The deceased's tongue was obviously protruded with her eyes wide open. Her roommate was too horrified to move but kept shivering, then burst into cries and tears.

No one can imagine the intensity of fright the witness had when she was alone exposed to the dreadful scene. No one could even imagine why the girl would terminate her own life in such a brutal way. When the parents of the girl dashed to the venue and saw their beloved's icy body lying soundlessly on the ground, tears poured out all over their cheeks. Nevertheless, all the agony and cry had become unavailing then. A blooming-flower-like life has faded, leaving all others either in pain or in meditation.

Having known the mirthless news, I unconsciously sank into thought. I was pondering over what force could drive the girl to kill herself without fear of great pain, what might could force her to leave all her folks in endless grief without the slightest nostalgia, what power on earth could determine her mind to give up her precious life without the least respect to life! I was seeking all the time, but never could I reach a relatively satisfactory answer.

If the girl had not died, I wanted to ask her, " Before you ended your life, have you thought of the people who are caring about you?" if the girl had not died, I wanted to ask her, " Before you ended your life, have you thought of how difficult it was for you to land on this world and how difficult it was for your parents to raised you up to now?" if the girl had now die, I wanted to shout at her with my teeth clinched, " if you do not fear death, what else should you fear in your life?" when you are alive, no matter how complicated the trouble is, there must be some way to deal with it. However stubborn the issue is, even it would deprive you of all you have, including your wealth, education, friends even your families, you still have the most treasurable thing with you, that is life. With life, though you might lose a lot temporarily, you will surely regain them with your constant and tough efforts. The premise is that you have life and do live up to your life! With life, the most desperate matter will be switched to the most hopeful one. Without life, the most hopeful matter will become the most desperate one.

One can raise one thousand and one reasons why you live, such as for your parents, for your beloved, for your children, etc. but beyond all these seeminglysignificant motives, I think the most appropriate statement may be that you live just for the sake of yourself. Accurately speaking, no one can accompany you for the rest of your life, even your intimate lover, not to mention your parents. The one who can stay with you at any year, any month, any day, any hour, any minute, any second, even any moment, is precisely yourself! Life renders you the soul of thinking, the soul of caring, the soul of sharing, and the soul of speaking. You may be reluctant to reveal everything to others, but you can share all your secrets with your mind by cherishing them in your heart! Chewing the past memories, whether they be sweet or bitter, is totally another form of enjoyment. Life is a one-way journey and we can never put the clock back to relive it again! Thereof, why don't we live it to the fullest and live up to our ever-existence?

Now it is deep in night. After typing such a long essay, I have already transmitted my thoughts to all of you who are now reading it. Finally, I merely want to refer to one sentence to conclude my sentiments: one will never worry about not dying in the future, but will surely worry about how to live on one day! Death will surely befall you sooner or later, but life will not accompany you eternally even though you want it to. Treasure you life, my dear friends!
