The influence of Internet

Nowadays with the computer invading into most of houses, internet becomes increasingly available to people. Moreover, though some people still cannot afford a computer, most places are dotted with net bars around, which also provide great convenience for the locals. The popularity of internet does have a great influence on people's lives.

As is universally acknowledged, internet plays a critically positive role in our daily life. speaking for individuals, it renders us get more access to obtain the information and data we need with the convenience of simply sitting before the computer comfortably instead of toiling in piles of books without a definite guarantee of finding what we want. On top of that, it also tremendously enriches our lives by offering us more means of entertainment and recreation, which can greatly amuse our tight nerves and broaden our horizons. In terms of our society and nation, internet enormously facilitates our working process and promotes our working efficiency. For example, the e-commerce ways of doing business connect bilateral even multiple corporations in different countries to each other, based on which numerous deals and businesses come to a fine ending. Similar examples illustrating the peerless advantages of the internet are really countless.

However, as most inventions in the world, internet is also actually a two-edged sword and has its inevitable drawbacks. In the first place, while internet presents us with abundant useful information, it also publishes an ocean of fake or even harmful information to the public. Many people have been cheated by some fakes on line. Some information is so terribly pessimistic or even unethical that it might corrupt our mind and lead us to crime. Secondly, because of too much information available on line, sometimes we may get lost and have difficulty identifying the information we need. Worse still, along with the internet are the rapidly booming computer games. A vast amount of people, especially students waste a lot of time on games and fall behind in study.

Altogether, however, internet's negative impacts far outweigh its negatives ones. And I firmly believe if we can try our best to make full use of its good sides and sidewalk its bad ones, it can surely become our best servant!
