Relationship between a teacher and her students is almost the same as friendship.



The basic principle to establish relationships is respect others, and be yourself. You must keep yourself, have your firm fundamentals, and respect others' also, then keep in touch, ensure smoothy communications to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding of each other.



And especially if you are a teacher, then you more or less is a model for your students to learn. They learn quite much from you, if you are friendly, they are; if you are rude, they are; if you are lazy, they become; if you smoke, they feel that's ok; if you like dressing yourself, they try to do it also; and so on.



You are a sister or a brother, sometimes your students think so. They may ask you for help, anything they will. You are the security protection, you are the power they can rely on behind.



Be honest to your students, do not cheat them. Even they are young, they are not blind. Cheating may be effective for the 1st time, but definitely can not last forever, truth will be discovered.
