The organizing committee of the 2008 Beijing Games has published an open
letter on its official website, seeking pictures featuring smiling faces of children
from all over the world.
2008北京奥运会组委会在其网站上发表了一封公开信，向全世界征集带有儿童笑
脸的照片。
According to the letter, the picture should be the front shot of a kid who is
smiling or even laughing happily. The child can be a boy or a girl, but he/she
needs to be under ten years of age.
信中要求所提供快乐微笑或大笑孩子的照片。男孩和女孩的照片均可，但年龄要在
10岁以下。
Also, pictures submitted should not have been used for any commercial
purpose before.
同时，所提供的应当是从未用作商业目的的照片。
People can submit pictures of several children at a time before April 30 next
year, but each child is allowed to provide five color photos.
在明年的8月30日前，大家可以一次寄几个孩子的照片给组委会，但每个孩子的照
片必须是五彩的。
Qualified pictures will be used in the opening or closing ceremonies of the
Beijing games. It may appear in the performance of the ceremonies or on print
materials related to the big games, according to the committee.
入选合格的照片会在北京奥运会开幕式或闭幕式上被采用。组委会称，这些照片会
出现在开幕或闭幕式上，或者会出现在与奥运会相关的印刷资料上。
However, to keep the ideas for the ceremonies fresh, the committee didn't
disclose where exactly the pictures will be used, only saying that it will give
further information to the public at an appropriate time in the process of
preparing for the Ceremonies.
