The winter vacation has almost gone half of its way. As far as I can remember , so far , only two or three days were dressed with sunny weather , while the rest were all icy and dreary with more or little rain . the wearisome weather has locked me in the house , therefore , I just sleep , watch TV or do some reading . in fact , if there had not been so many classmates' and friends' get-togethers , which had been being anticipated but were all eventually missed by me , I would deeply appreciate the cold and rain now . hearing this , presumably you may feel greatly surprised at my remarks . you know , to me , staying at home is also kind of wonderful , meaning I can have enough time to enjoy myself and learn my dear English . i cannot live without it even for one day ! it is just like a life commitment to me !

Off and on I will think of next semester . I congratulate myself on my good performance last term , and make up my mind to create more miracles in the coming days . I must have an overall scheme about the targets I should fulfill next term , turning over how to schedule the time properly to strike a balance between my interest and my majors . next semester I am going to learn my major, finance , formally and systematically , so I ought to touch more related professional books to broaden my horizon ! it is deeply rooted in my mind that nowadays the competition in our society is rather fierce , requiring us to equip ourselves with abundant knowledge and some essential capabilities . if we lack all these , we may probably be kicked out from the job market . this is exactly why I resolve to learn another language Japanese. I don't want my time drained away quietly with little value. Instead , I want to make the best of it and reach its maximum worth . during the past of college life , though I had a sense of enrichment , I still felt a given amount of time had been wasted. So in the rest of college life , I will undoubtedly make it more meaningful ! however , it is quite difficult to give a definition on what to be done is a waste of time . it depends on specific situations you are in !

All in all , no matter what setback I come across , I will not submit to it ! life is full of drawbacks , but it is also full of overcomings ! as the song " when you believe" sings , " you will achieve when you believe" !
