Teaching Aims:
1.To review the language points in this unit.
2.To review the grammar for “The Attribute Clause”
Teaching difficult point:
How to develop the Ss’ ability for solving the questions by themselves.
Teaching Steps:
Step One: Read the words for Unit7&8 together.
Step Two: Have a brief comment for Puzzling questions in English Weekly in last period.
Step Three: Grammar revision
1)Let one student have a try to show what she has learnt.
2)Teacher gives his opinion on it for further study: (学生译)
a.缺少先行词: Is this place the one that I visited two year ago.
b.定语从句与并列句辨析:
I have two friends, both of whom are English teachers.
I have two friends , both of them are English teachers.
I have two friends. Both of them are English teachers.
C. 两种情形不能用that 的情况; 7种情形只能用that 情形;(以who, which 开头特殊疑问句,为避免重复,只用that.; 当先行词被no, every, some, any, only, very ,much 等限定词修饰时,只用that引导;)
D. Whose +n. =the + n. + of which (作定语,指人又指物)
E. which 与 as : As is well known to us, She is honest.
It’s well known to us that she is honest.
F: Such…as/that: He is such a lazy man that nobody wants to work with him.
He is such a lazy man as nobody wants to work with.
G. 及物动词与不及物动词: vt. Visit/ spend vi. Work/ live
This is the place in which I live in./ where I live/ I live in..
H. 插入语情形
Tom is a man who I believe is honest.
Tom is a man whom I believe to be honest.
I.定语从句谓语动词:
He is one of the students that are 11.
He is the only of the students that is 11.
J. 分离式定语从句:
The days are gone forever when the Chinese people were looked down upon.
3)Do some exercise for exam.
