Knowledge and Diploma (Fake Diploma)
With the development of the society, more and more people enroll in the postgraduate examination for getting a high diploma. It is believed that high diploma equals to high ability and profound knowledge. Most companies are inclined to hire the people with high diploma. It seems that having high diploma means a better future.
However, is it really true that high diploma equals to high ability or profound knowledge? Some people do not agree on this kind of idea. They claim that ability or knowledge means more than diploma. Take Bill Gates, the head of the Microsoft, for example, he does not have a MBA degree which is believed to play a vital role in the success in commercial life. Furthermore, Sam Walton of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. does not a MBA degree, but they are the most successful man in commercial.
In my opinion, diploma does not equal to knowledge. A diploma is a piece of paper which establishes your education degree. But your true ability and the real knowledge come from your hard work and endowment. If you got a diploma by dishonestbehavior, no matter how high a diploma it is, it was just a piece of paper, and you were as blank as that paper.

Online Education
Recently an online activity has become very "in". That is online education. 68 online education colleges have been established in the past decade in our country.
Why could online education be so popular in such a short time? Among other reasons, the quick development of internet should be an essential one, which makes all our dreams of attending class in a distance possible. Another underlying reason is the quick development of both society and technology. Today, modern science and technology is developing with lightning speed. To catch up with this development we all feel an urgent and strong desire to study. While on the other hand, due to the great pace of modern society, most people are too busy to study full time at school. Online education just comes to their aids.
Personally, I appreciate this new form of education. It's indeed a helpful complement to the traditionaleducational means. It can provide different learners with more flexible and versatile ways to learn. Most of all, with online education, we can stick to our jobs and at the same time study and absorb the latest knowledge.

Young Generation Lacking of Striving Spirit
It is now said that the young generation is lacking of striving spirit. As I see it, this phenomenon is truly footed in fact. They are easy to give up and always turn a pessimistic attitude to failure. But why does it happen?
First of all, I have a sense that it is the living condition that matters. Born in the 1980s, most of us are the only child in the family living in the green house, we receive endless care like flowers. It is the love from our parents that set us away from the real world. As this goes on, when we step into the society one day, we cannot get accustomed to the fierce and competitive social life.
What's more, with a negative attitude, many young people are easy to be tired with everything. When coming across with a sticky problem, they are willing to stay behind rather than have a crack. Perhaps the so-called sloth has claimed them for its own.
The last but not the least, nowadays, the competition in the society is fiercer than we could imagine. In order to survive, the young people have to struggle under burden of study and work. Be adapted to the press and failure, the young people lose their self-confidence and self-esteem little by little, not to mention about the striving spirit.

On Sportsmanship
It seems in our sports today, the concept of good sportsmanship has been lost. While winning at all costs may be promoted in professional sports, this does not mean it is the proper way for athletes to behave.
Whether we like it or not, sportsmanship in sports is a direct reflection of our own ethics in real life. Sportsmanship like ethics concerns both the character and the actions of an athlete. The image you project as an athlete is a product of your character. Good sportsmanship is not just what you do on the field, it is hopefully the way you conduct your life both on and off the field. Unsportsmanlike behaviour-acts that are unfair, dishonest, disrespectful or against the rules-are unsportsmanlike because they are unethical. If you are unethical in sports, can you be ethical in the other areas of your life-your business dealings, your treatment of others, your family?

Should We still Cherish Chinese Traditional Virtues
Today's youth do things in their own ways, spend money on whatever they want and talk to people in their own languages--personality development is ○1overstated by young people these days. To some of them, personality means to be totally different from who their parents used to be.
But the problem is that during their pursuit of their personal goals they ignore some of the traditional virtues of which their ○1forefathers were proud. Take the question of ○2fidelity to elders for example. With better education and different experiences, some young people find it's hard to agree with their parents any longer. They have a feeling of superiority and even sometimes ○3turn their back on their elder parents.
To me, personality development and traditional virtues ○1have nothing to do with right or wrong. In our society, we need them both. These virtues help you to become a better Chinese, while personality development will improve your own character.
