More and more cultural relics have been discovered, but do you know the seven wonders of ancient times in the world? Will you please name them? Two minutes for you to talk about them.
Step Ⅲ Reading (16 mins)
1. Skimming (3 mins)
T: Read the passage on Page 124 quickly and try to find out the answers to the following 2 questions.
Q1: What is the function of the Aswan High Dam ?
Q2: Are there any temples in danger around the area of Aswan ?
2. Scanning (5 mins)
T: Read the text once again, (1) Point out the place where Abu Simbel stayed on the map; (2) Use the sentences in the text to describe the following 3 pictures. To train students' ability of recognizing pictures. Help the students point out the temple on the map.
3. Read Aloud (8 mins)

Step V Debate (5 mins)
Is it wise or not to build the Three Gorges Dam? I'll divide our class into two groups, try to have this debate. You have 5 mins to get it ready.
