(一) 教学目标
1. 学会区分和描述不同类型的动物。
2. 学会表述自己喜欢的动物并给出理由。
(二)教学导向
1. 语言功能:Talk about their favourite kinds of animals .
2. 语言目标:Why do you like koalas ?because they are cute. They are kind of shy.
3. 语言结构:What ,Why, where 引导的特殊疑问句.用because 表示原因
4. 重点词汇:zoo animal tiger
elephant koalas
dolphin panda lion penguin giraffe smart cute ugly……
5. 学习策略与思维技巧:培养学生的参与意识,以合作方式分析、解决问题的能力。
(三)教学任务设计
1. Classify different kinds of animals.
2. Describe Ss`s favorite kinds of animals.
3. draw or guess some of the animals.
(四)教具准备
1. 教师准备的教具:录音机、小红花、听力题单、单词词条、教学课件及放映屏幕。
2. 学生准备的学具:收集动物资料和照片,此准备工作将为教学过程的参与合作环节奠定基础。
(五)教学过程设计
一:Pre-task:Enjoy some pictures different kinds of animals.
1. Presentation
The students look at the animals。The teacher presents the new words about the animals。
(利用CAI课件,了解各种动物,让学生体验参与、动脑,教师面向全体学生 )
2.Pair work
The students look at the animals on the screen,talk about their` favourite kinds of animals 。The teacher guides and helps the students 。
(师生对话、生生对话,有明确具体的目的,激发学生的学习动机,自我完善的欲望,启发不断学习的内在动力。)
3. Listening practice
Open the books , look at 1a. The teacher has the students listen carefully and then plays the tape twice。 Students listen and match them。The teacher checks the answers on the
screen with the students 。
(利用CAI课件,通过听力训练,培养学生听音、变词理解语句的综合能力。)
二:Task cycle
[TASK 1] A survey
The students work in groups, ask and answer their favourite kinds of animal, then make a suvery about which kind of animal is the most popular.At last ,the students
summarize the most popular animal in the class.

(让学生进行实践性研究,并鼓励以小组汇报的形式呈现答案,一方面,提高学生用英语解决实际问题的能力。同时,提高学生的合作能力。)
[TASK 2] A debate
The students have a
debate about why they like this kind of animal but
dislike others. There is a
competition between the boys and the girls. The teacher is to be a judger. When the students give one reason, the teacher will give them one flower,but the reason can’t be the same..
(通过辩论赛,激发学生的热情,培养他们用英语表达自己真实情感的意识和能力。 )
The teacher arranges one task for each group to choose.
On weekends, we want to the zoo, which animal should we go to see first? Why?
(通过各小组选择和完成任务活动,倡导合作式学习方式,培养学生用英语做事情的基本技能,让学生体验使用英语的成功。 )
Unit 2 Why do you like koala?
教学过程和步骤:
1. 布置任务,学生以4—6人为一组(要求面对面坐)以小组为单位,运用所学的内容进行对话,并根据所学的知识扩展话题编对话,谈论自己的喜好。
2. 组织教学,师生互相问候。例如:Good morning ! Nice to meet you! How are you? What’s a weather like today?等等
3. 出示教学挂图和图片向学生呈现表示动物的单词:koala bear, tiger, elephant,dolphin,panda,lion,penguin,giraffe等。要求学生能看到图片立即说出单词。
4. ①打开课本P7 1a看图将单词和图画配对。
②1b听录音检查在1a中听到的表示动物的单词,
[活动1]
要求全班同学每人跟自己的同伴结对,用所学的表示动物及动物特征的单词编一组对话,并谈论各自对动物的喜好,然后请部分同学到黑板前面当众表演。
5.①p8 2a听录音,填入所听到的单词,并把表示动物和表示动物特征的单词连线。
②2b听录音用所给的词完成对话
[ 活动2]
① 发给每个同学一张表格,学生以小组为单位,设计调查表(如图),并根据自己的喜好在表格中打√.
