Teaching aims
1, Knowledge: Learn the Present Continuous Tense and some new words.
Obility: Litening,
speaking and
writing skills and Communicative competence.
Moral education: the

cooperate and deal with the difficulties.
Key points: What are you doing? I’m watching TV.
Is Bill doing homework? No, she isn’t. she’s
writing a letter.
Difficult points: the
structure of doing and the use of the Present Continuous Tense,especially the questions and “Yes/No ” answers.
Teaching methods: Task based
Teaching procedures
Step 1 Presentation
1,First watch a video on the screen. From the picture, we know some students are talking,some students are play games.
Today we are going to learn Unit5 I’m watching TV Section A and talk about “What are people doing?”
Then do some actions and let the students guess “What am I doing?”Then write “I’m
opening the door/writing/running.”
Then look at the pictures on the
screen and ask “What’s the boy doing?/What are they doing?”, then help the students to answer. Then let the students
practise in pairs to ask and answer.
In the same way,
practise in pairs according to the next picture.
2, Explain the Present Continuous Tense
3, Do some exercises about the struture of doing.
4, Then ask the students “What am I doing? (reading), Am I writing?
Ask several students come to the front to do some actions and let the students guess “What is he/she doing?
5, Look at the picture on the
screen and ask, “Is Nancy doing homework? What is she doing?”
Play a game, look at the next picture and guess “What is Bill /Mary/Tom doing?
Then
practise in pairs to ask and answer like that.
Step2 Listening
Let the students take out of a piece of paper and listen to the material about 2a ,then answer the questions. In the same way, listen to the material about 1b.
Step3 Competition
1) Let’s have a
competition to
practise the Present Continous Tense
Tell the students : We divide you into 4 groups. I hope all of you try your best.There are A B C three kind of questions, that is easy, middle, difficult. You can choose any of the three kinds and then One, Two , Three of each A, B, C. Everyone has a chance. Each question gets one point.
2) Let’s have another competition., watch another video and remember the actions of “What are they doing?” Just remember them in your mind instead of writing. Then say it out, each verb gets one point.
Step4 Summary
This class we
mainly learn the Present Continous Tense, especially the
structure of doing and the forms of questions and “Yes/No”answers.
Step5 Homework
Draw a picture of your family or your friends in the park or at school, describe what they are doing.

1、教材分析
新目标七年级下册Unit5 Section A 主要语法重点事现在进行时的构成和用法,包括动词的现在分词构成和形式,现在进行时的陈述句、一般疑问句及简略回答。现在进行时表示现在正在进行的动作或存在的状态。为了配合这一语法现象,教材1a的图文搭配,1b,2a,2b的听力练习和1c,2c的对话交际练习,以多种形式进一步了解和巩固现在进行时的用法。
2、教学设计思路
首先在一开始播放一段我校学生的日常生活录像,一是首先利用身边的一些生活实例来引起学生注意,激发学生兴趣;二是通过学生的一些动作来为下文现在进行时的教学做个铺垫。
然后通过教师示范一些动作来引出本课的话题现在进行时,再通过课件上一些精美的画面和动作来练习这一时态,让学生观察所学这些句子的共同特点,通过学生的观察和思考让学生自己总结出这种时态的结构及特点,尤其是现在分词的构成,然后设计了些动词的现在分词的练习题,加以巩固练习。
再次创造情境,教师示范和学生到前台表演动作让学生来猜,通过学生的亲身体验,依此引出该时态的一般疑问句以及肯定否定回答,为了进一步加强练习和理解,课件上精心设计,从网上搜索了些画面,让学生来进行问答练习,以达到巩固目的。
以上几个环节的设计,体现了整体教学的原则,把教材的顺序重新调整了一下,把对话练习放在一块来教学,同时也把现在进行时形成一个体系呈现给学生。把课本分散的几个听力练习也放在了一块来教学,更有力地加强了学生的听力训练。
设计的两个竞赛训练,也是为了进一步巩固这一时态,设计的题目有层次性,分易中难三层,设计的画面都是大家所熟悉的一些人物,如姚明,宋祖英等,面向全体学生,让所有学生都参与进来,分4个小组,进行强答,
