1 This activity focuses on vocabulary introduced in the unit.
Ask students to fill in the blanks on their own. In some cases, students may need to use another form of the word, for example adjusting for tense or subject/ verb agreement. Tell them that they can find all the words in the preceding unit.
Check the answers.
Ask students to make their own sentences with the words, preferably sentences that are meaningful.
Write a number of students' answers for each word on the board. Underline any mistakes (it is not necessary to say which student made the mistake) and ask student to suggest how to correct the mistake.

2. Next you need to put the ingredients into a blonder.
3. Then pour hot water into the blonder.
4. Add some honey and mix up the ingredients.
5. Turn on the blonder for about two minutes.
2 This activity provides writing practice using the target language of the unit.
Focus attention on the pictures. Ask students what process they can see in the pictures (eating Beijing Duck).
Ask students write instructions based on the pictures.
Walk around the class offering language support where necessary.

This activity provides reading practice with the target language.
Ask students what the monster puts on the sandwich. (sugar, honey)
Ask students what the sugar and honey does to the animal. Say, Is this a healthy sandwich?
